Job Responsibilities:

• Conceive, plan, develop and implement scientific research projects to advance scientific knowledge in business-relevant areas
• Conduct academic & applied research with a collaborative team of researchers by developing core algorithms and platforms of computer vision to enhance the core competitiveness and user experience of Huawei’s related products.
• Generate high-quality patents and/or academic publications in the areas of applied ML, computer vision and graphics (e.g. CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH etc.)
• Co-op will start on May 2023

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Familiar with at least one area of visual image enhancement, semantic understanding and reasoning of images(e.g., intelligent scene recognition, saliency detection, image semantic, color balance, image super-resolution and denoising, OCR, image search and image captioning etc.)
• Good track of record in top academic conferences/publications (i.e., CVPR, ICCV, NeurlIPS, ECCV, AAAI etc. ) is a HUGE ASSET.
• A passion for creating innovative techniques, and making them robust and scalable
• Ability to distill vague product experiences into concrete problem definitions
• Solid programming skills with C++ and/or Java and/or Python
• Creative, collaborative, and innovation-focused
• Currently enrolled in graduate studies in computer science, ECE or related STEM field and registered with co-op program
