Intern Apple – Developer Tools Engineering Project Manager In Monterey

Job Description:

Engineering project managers in the Developer Tools team are core to the department, working with product engineering to ensure that projects and features are delivered on-schedule and to Apple’s high standards. You will work with our Xcode IDE teams and across Apple’s software, hardware, and services engineering organizations to deliver top-quality tools used to develop and debug iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS apps. As a project manager passionate about features, you will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and managers to lead all aspects of schedules, integration efforts, qualification of tools supporting the latest and greatest hardware, IDE functionality, and usability improvements. Shipping features involves close coordination with the engineering teams working on the code, partnering with teams including the App Store, and communicating status.

Job Responsibilities:

• Experience developing iOS, macOS, watchOS, or tvOS apps
• Developing with or understanding of Apple’s OS technologies
• Software or hardware release experience, managing sophisticated, cross-functional projects
• Developing and releasing a consumer or enterprise product

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior project management experience delivering software features for a consumer product
• Maintain a streamlined attention to detail while balancing multiple priorities and projects
• Ability to devise and coordinate plans
• Concise verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with compiler technologies, integrated development environments, and other developer-focused tools
• Comfort with the UNIX shell and ability to automate tasks using a scripting language such as Python, Swift, AppleScript, or Perl
