We are looking for strong system analysts to join our Workforce Management Technology group to support Starbucks mission and values.
    As a systems analyst you will contribute to the development of our next-generation Workforce Management (WFM) system that is leveraged by 240,000+ partners (employees) across 10,000+ locations (e.g., stores, roasteries, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers) in the United States and Canada. The Starbucks Workforce Management solution optimizes store operations and partner’s work-life balance by providing intuitive and advanced planning, forecasting, scheduling, time & attendance, and labor analytics cloud-enabled and mobile services. The solutions you will design, and build will need to handle information at a massive scale and integrate with other cloud-based Starbucks systems (SaaS, PaaS).

    Responsibilities:

    • Gathers, analyzes, and documents solution requirements. Facilitates user story creation and backlog grooming in an agile delivery environment.
    • Participate in all aspects of the software development process including, requirements gathering, designing, coding, unit testing, quality assurance, and deployment documentation
    • Understands working of workforce management system, data in-flow, out-flow and conducts deep dive investigations into business problems and identify potential opportunities
    • Asist in standardization and implementation of best practices in requirement management, process flows, data flows and configurations etc.
    • Ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment; ability to re-prioritize on a regular basis to remain current with business needs.
    • Coordinates with business, development, and testing teams and leverages relevant process and technology proficiency to propose optimal solution(s) options delivering required business capabilities.
    • Proactively identifies and effectively assesses improvement opportunities (productivity/efficiency gains, cost savings, etc.)
    • Utilizes agile delivery methodologies and participates on scrum teams in execution of solution delivery projects.
    • Considers overall user technology experience in thoughtfully designing engaging solutions

    Requirements:

    • Performs application configuration (i.e. create attributes, workflows and UI changes) in support of solution delivery initiatives.
    • Partners with development team in agile design/development of custom solution components. Performs code reviews as required.
    • Defines and develops approaches for data conversion. Performs the extract, load, and validation of converted data
    • Supports solution testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, performing test execution, and validating test results.
    • Participates in a production support for critical systems that includes pager responsibilities on call rotation (24*7)
    • Update and maintain necessary documentation related to design changes, code, deployment, and supportability
    • Coordinates issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provides timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and other key stakeholders.
    • Develops and facilitates system training.
