    The Home Depot Rental operates in over 1100 locations of The Home Depot across the US and Canada, offering large towable equipment, tools, trucks and trailer rental along with on-site equipment delivery. The large equipment fleet includes trenchers, chippers, mini-excavators, skid steers, aerial work platform equipment, and tractor loader backhoes among others. With a large team of highly trained technicians, shop techs, and VIP Delivery Technicians and customer care associates throughout the United States and Canada.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • 45% Managing Process: Ensures all operations procedures are followed effectively, and identifies and recommends needed changes to Operations Manager and/or Assistant General Manager on the standardized processes for the functional area. Evaluates and analyzes current work methods and recommends ways to eliminate inefficiences.
    • 25% Coaching and Developing Associates: Guides associates in daily operations, and monitors to ensure a high degree of productivity, safety, service and quality. Responsible for the training, coaching and feedback of hourly associates, and performs regular evaluations of associates through factual data and subjective observations. Uses discretion to provide coaching and counseling to associates regarding job performance, methods of performing job tasks. Resolves associate relations issues that arise in assigned functional area. Responsible for hiring, compensation, discipline and terminations of hourly associates in assigned department. Investigates operational errors to determine the cause and recommends corrective action where needed.
    • 15% Drives Results: Maintains inventory accuracy and control; reviews reports identifies area of improvement for key metrics inclouding productivity, accuracy, quality and expenses.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • 8-10+ years of relevant work experience
    • Proficiency in one or more of the following disciplines: user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual design; exposure to and interest in growing in the others
    • Proficiency in translating user needs into visual assets
    • Proficiency in analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data and presenting findings and recommendations
    • Proficiency in rapid prototyping and visualization
    • Proficiency in leveraging research and usability strategy deliverables such as discovery findings, mental models, scenarios, user journey maps, personas, debrief documentation, screeners, testing plans, task lists, low and high fidelity prototypes, annotated wireframes, and/or clickable prototypes
    • Proficiency in leveraging approaches to translating findings into tangible designs such as heuristic reviews, usability testing, competitive product analysis, web metrics data, field research, quantitative surveys, user interviews, and persona development
    • Proficiency in rapid prototyping and visualization tools such as Axure, iRise, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Visio, Adobe CC, and UXPin
    • Proficiency in visual software tools such as Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, and Fireworks
    • Proficiency in using, and experience in generating style guides, iconography, and/or typography
    • Experience guiding more junior team members through User Experience fundamentals in a professional setting
    • Proficiency in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team
